We left Corsica for the port of Marseilles, an 11 hour overnight trip across the sea. It was nice to sit back and relax as we move to our final destination of our adventure. Actually it was more of a cruise ship with very nice accommodations, restaurant and lounging areas. Although, our port was Marseilles we did not have time stay and visit. We moved on to Barcelona, a 5 hour ride to complete our adventure and get closer to our departing airport back to USA. During our getting Lost in Europe adventure we were told several times by international travelers that Barcelona is there favorite place to visit. After being there we understand whole heatedly except for parking. With a larger vehicle you cannot park anywhere in town. Gary and Dick ended up going out of the La Rambla area and park in the marina lot for a fee of course. Barcelona is a very entertaining place to be in. I would need several days at a minimum to make a dent into what is available to see and do. To make the most of our visit we went with the divide and conquer method. We split up and went our own way to get in as much as possible. Since we stayed at a hotel right in the old town / tourist area made it easy to get going and back. This town never sleeps. There were people singing and dancing late into the night. Crowds of people just stroll around being entertained by side walk performances, checking out the architectures, cathedrals, art, shopping, just having fun and enjoying the local culture and food. We had a great time getting lost and finding our way back...no problems. Barcelona has an impressive police presence to discourage any issues for visitors.

The urban area of Barcelona extends beyond the city limits with a population of 4,500,000 it is the second largest city in Spain.
