INTRODUCTION .....Lost in Europe for us will begin Oct 5th and end Oct 25 assuming we don't stay lost.. We are traveling from Orlando to Madrid Spain to start the adventure and ending in Barcelona after wandering around the back country of Spain,France,Italy and Corsica. It is definitely more of an adventure than a vacation but hopefully it will be both.  The plan is to join up with 7 friends at the airport in Madrid who are coming from a different location in USA and Spain that is if they found their way out of Portugal. We are optimistic this will work or we wait until everyone shows. Good friends and good times are worth waiting for. In hind site maybe we should have given this trip more consideration. We are traveling primarily through medieval mountain towns located in the Alps of Europe with a significant side trip by ferry to Corsica. Of course none of us speak the languages ...this will be fun no doubt. We are on a self guided tour designed by two of our very experienced fellow travelers, Gary & Mary Tishler. Just to be clear that is where the T from T tours come from not Tom. I wanted you to know their names in case I don't find my way back. We should know better than follow them almost blindly from past experience. There is always plan but we won't necessarily stick to it. We are a 3000 mile journey in a 9 passenger Citroen Jumpy . Pretty cool ride, bucket seats, cup holders with windows. We are limited to one small carry on and a backpack. I have been told any more than that and someone will have to get out or ride on the roof. Going to be tight quarters. Hopefully, we will not be sitting on each others lap. If we buy something we will most likely have to toss something.  I will be providing GPS navigation. The scary part is I have new software and hardware and I have never used it before in Europe...."trust me I will get you there" will be my famous last words. We have to no idea where we are really going but have we have at least reviewed the traffic signs/rules of each country just to be safe. Our plan is to avoid the big cities and visit many of  the historic, beautiful walled towns of Europe. If the past trips with our friends of T tours is any indication we are definitely going to be Lost in Europe. Fortunately we are OK with this since we are traveling with 7 friends who won't even know that they are lost.. We will swim or sink together. If you don't hear from us my best guess we will be somewhere in the Alps...keep posted.
