Road Trip to Annecy

ROAD - TRIP
The road trip from Cordes-Sur-Sol to Annecy was approx 350 miles. There is no direct highway route to Annecy and if there was one we probably wouldn't have taken it anyways. From our experience no direct route via highways is not unusual outside of the major cities. Our road trip was a combination of French highways that are very good, low traffic and very fast at times. Not a cop in sight. The connecting roads are winding, rural, beautiful and slow to very slow that meander through a variety of farm towns. You never know what you are going to come across. Some roads are only one lane wide with two lane traffic. I missed some great photo opportunities, unfortunately they pop up to fast. We did stop along the way for a beverages and lunch. Although no one in these areas can speak any English it worked out well because we spoke no French either but some how everyone tries and all works out well. This trip took us 7 hours and it was worth it. Below is an assortment of road signs and sights mostly shot from inside our van. Hopefully this will give everyone an idea and some entertainment of what we encountered in our travels. I will be the first to admit I had no idea what some of then meant...not good if you are the driver, Feel free to quickly flip through them...enjoy.
